Introducing Jonathan Zion…or JZ as he’s known to his friends.

Jonathan is a bassist and composer from Melbourne and is our first non Queensland based Filthy Animal….he’s so good we import him!

Jonathan has performed in Australia and overseas with Ian Moss, Pete Murray, Deborah Conway and Lior.  In 2016 he toured Japan with Paul Grabowsky performing at The Tokyo Jazz Festival and has appeared at many other local and international jazz festivals.

Jonathan has quite the presence on stage with his funky playing style and impressive piled high dreadlocks! He’s super excited to be getting his teeth into some classic rock with The Filthy Animals and we are super excited to have lured him into the band!
